So summer is wandering along, as it does. I haven't really returned to work but that's OK. Summers are meant to be slow and easy. We have eaten more apricots and cherries than can possibly be good for us and soon the greengage plums and peaches will be ready.
There has been much furniture moving around the house as Kate moved out of college and into a flat taking a bed, wardrobe and small chest of drawers with her. The table she had used as a desk and for sewing has become our kitchen table. The kitchen table that was too fancy for the job has become a dining room table and then was swiftly taken over by Stephen’s current hobby of renovating op shop found frames to be used for the various I framed prints we seem to have collected. And now I think everything is settled.
My workroom has some new shelves and a general reshuffle all ready for the year ahead. I have five little dolls to dress, that’s my first job. I have fabrics, the yarns and the designs but the will is struggling to leave holiday mode behind.
i hope your high summer/deep winter is going well. Be kind to yourself and dream some dreams.
