Pippa, a little beam of autumn light.
She came out of no where, I didn't know she was waiting to make her entrance and now she is here and I love her so much.
Strong colour, I am all about colour, I live in a house with pink rooms, yellow rooms, green rooms and blue rooms and windows opening onto a garden full of the gorgeous greens and browns and pinks and yellows and reds and blues and purples and as much light and sunshine and colour as I can manage.
And Pippa is an ode to the joy of colour and light and changing seasons bringing their uniqueness to my world.
Pippa is an 18" Mabel style doll and i have lightly sculpted her face...I know, me using needlefelting to sculpt a face. She still looks like one of my own and not from someone else's hand, that makes me happy. She has crazy brushed mohair hair, I love it, I love making wigs with this yarn, so glad I finally feel confident enough in my crochet skills to make wig after wig after wig this year so far.
Her dress is supersoft baby cord in the most delicious shade of teal blue fastened at the back with vintage shell buttons. The collar is a beautiful whimsical print by Isabelle Norman Sallstrom and I couldn't resist the Little Red Riding Hood button, it's Pippa's favourite story. To keep her long legs warm Pip has stripey cotton stockings and snuggly handknit shoes with wooden buttons.
Pippa and her clothes are fully handwashable.
This doll is not suitable for children aged 4 years or younger.
Pippa is available now in my Etsy shop
