It's been a while since a Sweet Child style doll has graced my worktable and I am not sure where Zozo came from really but I am so glad she crept up and surprised me with her sweet cheeky face and wonderful ideas for clothes. We have had a lot of fun in the creating.
The Sweet Child doll is a style that I created some years ago and it celebrates the elegance of the mid childhood years when the limbs are long and movements have such an easy natural grace.
Zozo is 20" tall, the tallest Sweet Child doll I make and she has the Sweet Child slim build.
Her gorgeous hair is a Tibetan lambskin wig that can be styled to suit her mood.
She has no special story, that is yet to come in her new home. She is sweet and tenderhearted and she does like to think, not so much daydream but a good long think about, well about things and stuff.
I know she likes to dress up because she has been doing a lot of that here and I am pretty sure she likes dancing and twirling and skipping and laughing, lots of laughing.
If you think Zozo sounds like just your kind of gal you can find her in my Etsy shop.
She comes with two outfits, her beautiful Japanese cotton lawn dress trimmed with vintage silk velevet ribbon on the bodice and ricrac at the hem. It buttons down the back with some vintage mother of pearl buttons. Underneath is a soft cotton petticoat pintucked across the bodice with bias ribbon straps and trimmed with pale blue bias ribbon, vintage blue cotton lace and a French cotton zigzag trim. She also has hand knit woollen knee high socks and camel hair wool hand knit lace up boots.
Her other outfit is pinwhale corduroy overalls with wooden flower buttons faced with a petite fleur cotton which also features on the straps and at the ankles of the overalls. Underneath she has a pink hailspot soft cotton blouse and to keep her warm a hand knit woollen cardigan in two shades of green.
