As one project ends another begins and the anticipation and excitement for each new creation never fails to make me certain that I am doing just what I am meant to be doing.
Inspiration is everywhere.
At this time of the year much of the grass in our garden is sunburnt and dry but there is a corner of the front garden, the spot where the first spotty toadstools always appear where the grass is green and soft and very fine. It's near the little wooden birdhouse and the old hollowed out log where the plaster gnome keeps watch. It's a little grassy oasis, a promise of softer weather to come.
This treasured spot must surely be a favourite with little dolls who wear cosy red knitted hats. I truly think it must be the home of fairies and gnomes and the prefect place to hide unseen watching the comings and goings at the front gate. We shall see what this little red hatted doll becomes.
Little Elliette, below in the chair, is on her way home to another green paradise and I wish her well. I have thoroughly enjoyed creating her. This is not the end of her story but that is in the future and I can't share it yet.
2016 is getting off to a fine start.
