Last weekend was the first doll making workshop for the year. You can read about it over my daughter's blog . It was a great weekend but exhausting for me, really I did nothing on the Monday after except buy the Easter goodies so I could post some off to Louis in Perth. Tuesday was a little better but quiet knitting or crochet was the order of the day. By Wednesday I was back to normal. So nice though to have the flexibility to have a weekend to recover from the weekend.
I have knitted a second Autumn dolly bonnet, I mean who can resist the combination of that slight autumn chill in the air and gorgeous autumn inspired knitting. As the inspirations strikes I will add more to the set and hopefully there will be little dollies to go with them. I have a bunch of three dolls, that were never destined to become part of my much thought about collection, maybe the bonnets will be theirs.
This year I seem to be specialising in making dolls but never quite finishing them ready to find their homes. I know there are people who want to buy my work but I'm just farnarckling around, why, I don't know.
Oh, and what was I knitting on my special weekend. Why Claire the Hare of course. Isn't she just so cute. I have loved her for a long time and finally got myself organised to get her made. You can find the pattern here
She was lots of fun to make and a dream come true when she was all done and dressed.
