I’m spending a few days with my number one daughter. I travelled down on the bus yesterday through the rain and wind and now I’ve made camp in her flat with the cat and the heater, my book and my knitting while the rain falls. She is at art school today. I love seeing her so happy at Uni.
I have just spent the last hour video chatting with my son in New York. Isn’t technology a wonderful thing. He is all alone in that big city so far away and we could just chat about his adventures as though we were in the same room.
Katie and I have some adventures of our own planned for my visit, though nothing too extreme. More along the lines of going to see The Guernsey Literary and Potato Pie Society film at the State Cinema and visiting our friend’s new cafe in North Hobart, Sweet Sassafras.
One of the best things about this little flat is that it’s so close to everything including a great bakery. I’m thinking a nice hot pie for lunch will be just the trick. Hope I can find an umbrella though because it is a gloriously rainy day.
hope you are having a wonderful day.
